Where is Manxman now ? Manxman is currently at the Pallion Shipyard in Sunderland at a wet berth. she is floating with the tide and is structurally sound I thought the Manxman sank ? Yes, she did. However only partially and was pumped out and repaired I used to go on the Manxman when she was a nightclub at Preston, why did she leave - she was always packed ! The Manxman had to leave Preston because her berth was required for re-development. And Yes, it could be argued that the pub on the corner of the dock that used to berth at has never been as popular as the Manxman. What is going to happen to Manxman ? The Manxman Steamship Company hope to bring the ship back to her native Birkenhead resplendent in Steam Packet livery. She will be used for a number of different purposes.
